As the director and founder of Canada’s most enduring, and only PCTIA Accredited hypnotherapy school I welcome you to The Orca Institute’s web site. Established in 1986 our school's program was conceived and developed in response to the desire of many practitioners to achieve a high standard of hypnotherapy practice. We offer certificate and diploma programs which are structured to accommodate our student’s busy schedules and lifestyles. Our courses are ongoing so can be started at anytime. Unique to our hypnotherapy Certification and Diploma programs, is the strong integration of Counselling and Ericksonian Skills. At the Orca Institute our intent is to bring students from a basic level of “just starting to get comfortable” with hypnosis to becoming confident, intuitive highly skilled professional Counseling Hypnotherapists.
Our teachers have been chosen for their extensive knowledge, experience, and for their ability to respond to student's needs while acknowledging that everyone learns differently. In addition to covering the works and methods of Milton Erickson, M.D., Stephen Gilligan PhD. Serge King, PhD and others our training uniquely includes my own innovative approaches developed over 30 years.
